RISE invites exceptional faculty members and other research professionals who demonstrate a commitment to social justice through research, teaching, and service to apply to be a RISE Faculty Fellow.
Each Faculty Fellow will serve for a three year term during which they are encouraged to conduct collaborative research with other RISE Directors, Research Associates, Education and Outreach Fellows, and Student Fellows, promote social justice programming at their home institution, recruit and mentor RISE Student Fellows, and engage in social justice community outreach.
Research Fellows are permitted to serve multiple three year terms but must submit a new application for each new term.
RISE Research Fellows are social justice scholars, are committed to social justice and equity for all people, mentor students in scholarship and advocacy, and regularly participate in RISE outreach and advocacy events. RISE Research Fellows also work to cultivate relationships with appropriate community and regional organizations, and contribute to RISE through collaborative research with other RISE Fellows, Associates, and Directors, grant activity, and coordinated outreach and advocacy work.
As a RISE Research Fellow, your commitment to social justice and equity would be reflected in a variety of activities. These include conducting sustained social justice oriented research, mentoring students in your area of scholarship and advocacy, regular participation in outreach and advocacy events, continuous collaboration with other RISE Fellows, Associates, and Directors
, grant activity that supports the mission of RISE, and working with community and regional organizations.
